Mad as a March Hare by Deborah GreggI’ve seen it myself, rabbits acting odd and a bit crazy in the month of March. They are feeling the love that’s in the air and joy brought on by warm breezes and lots of greens growing once again. The hard months of winter and hunger are over (even though today the snow is blowing and the ground is covered once again with white… it will melt fast). We all can feel a little “mad” in March, it can feel like a heavy weight has been lifted (also referring to the actual weight of several layers of clothes trying to keep warm in this chilly old house of mine). So go ahead and do a little happy dance — but not outside.

“The March Hare… as this is May, it won’t be raving mad — at least not so mad as it was in March.” ~Lewis Carroll
