Valentine by Deborah GreggToday is Valentines Day, which is generally thought of as a day to celebrate romance in our lives but love can take many forms and each deserves to be celebrated just as much, perhaps more. Take a moment to look around, there is love everywhere. The love of a rewarding job, love for the land, love of family, love of friends, love of the life we are given to live each day, love of tea (had to put that one in), love of precious animals that give back to us unconditionally without fail, love for a cause, love for a purpose we are fulfilling, love of growing a garden, love for the wondrous creation we find ourselves in, and most of all the love of God — of which we have very little understanding of how immense and all encompassing it is.

We can get lost looking for love where it doesn’t exist, misunderstanding what it is exactly and ending up feeling frustrated and alone (even when in a “relationship”) when we are not alone at all. So open your mind to the “big picture” of your world and consider all the love that is yours. ♥

“The arms of love encompass you with your present, your past, your future, the arms of love gather you together.” ~Antoine de Saint-Exupéry
