Deloach Vineyards, located in Santa Rosa, California, is all about organic, environmentally friendly biodynamic farming. Their mission in a nutshell: “At DeLoach Vineyards, we consider ourselves stewards of the land, with a profound responsibility to pass along a clean environment and revitalized, healthy soil to future generations. We take to heart the Native American proverb that “We do not inherit this land from our ancestors; we borrow it from our children.”

They have chickens out there, a big vegetable garden, and they grow medicinals, including dandelions. I love anyone who grows dandelions on purpose! And they have a thriving bee hive (this week is pollinator week you know!) so of course they love community gardens. So much so that they are going to give 5 community gardens $20,000. Check out which gardens are in the running, they are located all over the country so there could be one in your area, then be sure and vote for your favorite.

And don’t forget to check out their wonderful wines and consider signing up for their wine club. A wonderfully convenient way to try a selection of superior wines.
