Need a snack to go with that wine? There’s lots of information out there about what and how to pair wine with meals but it can be confusing trying to serve finger foods and snacks with wine. Flavors cover the gamut from shortbread (Pinot Noir) to Apricot Sage (Chardonnay) to Zesty Lemon and Sea Salt Chocolate Oatmeal (Brut) and although some of them sound strange they’re surprisingly well thought out.

The cookies are all very soft and chewy (save the shortbread, which is crunchier) and taste good but are not overly exciting on their own. When paired with wine, however, the right wine, the flavors morph together into something new and interesting and delicious. I was more than a little impressed at how well each cookie is tailored for each wine. My favorites are the Ginger Molasses (Pinot Grigio) and the Espresso Chocolate Peanut Butter (Cabernet Sauvignon), and the White Cheddar Rosemary also, with a nice Merlot. It’s worth noting that many of the flavors are salty instead of sweet, so they’re more like biscuits than cookies, but all of them are the perfect size for nibbling.
