Wonderful chocolate! It’s been around forever, the Mayans and the Aztecs used it as a form of money. They knew what they had. Back then the cacao bean was crushed and made into a paste, added to hot water, and yummy! No sugar added (ugh) but tasty to them. The amazing Field Museum in Chicago (I know it well, I grew up there) has a Chocolate Exhibit which I wish I could go and see but they also have a great online site. Visit and learn all about chocolate, the history and some health facts too. It turns out chocolate is one thing we don’t have to feel too guilty about having. I know I love chocolate in any form and a good cup of cocoa is a definite mood booster especially when it’s been like living on the arctic tundra here lately. So cold!
